In the spruce forests of the Šilai Forest, the partisans set up a spacious, rather dry and cosy hut. The shelter commemorates the partisans of the Lukštas detachment of the Šalna detachment, who died in 1952.In order to ensure that the significant history of Lithuania and the Samogitian region is not forgotten, in 2017, the third rebuilding of the shelter in the forest of Šilai-Girėnai was unveiled, and the partisans who lost their lives in the fight for Lithuania's freedom were honoured.
