The highest cross of the Rietavas Town Cemetery marks the grave of Lithuanian partisans who fought in the Rietavas region. The burial places of many Rietavas partisans and their supporters are unknown, so four memorial stones have been erected at the cross to commemorate them at least symbolically. In total, the memorial lists 118 resistance fighters who fought in the Samogitian and Kęstutis districts. Several monuments with state symbols can be seen next to the partisans' grave. They remind us of the commitments that many people in Rietavas kept in their hearts for many decades after the war.
