The mound is located in the High Tyras marsh on the western part of the former peninsula, which is encroached on from the east by a tongue of land. An archaeological monument of national importance. It is a long, narrow hill, known locally as 'Pilale'. The unique position of this mound is that it is two hills running side by side on a marsh island. The site is quadrangular, elongated in an east-west direction, 52x22 m in size. On the eastern side, the mound is separated from the mainland by two natural hollows 10 and 11 m wide. The slopes are 1-3 m high. The mound dates back to the beginning of the 2nd millennium.
